The Camino Pablo corridor in Orinda needed improvements to control excessive traffic speeds yet at the same time increase the flow of local and through traffic. The City requested TJKM to develop recommended timing plans for seven intersections along the corridor, based upon a comprehensive traffic engineering evaluation and observation. TJKM’s signal timing and fine-tuning resulted in reduced stops and delays, lower maximum speeds within the corridor and increased overall average speeds.
