Traffic Signal Design

TJKM has designed more than 2,000 traffic signals in nearly 200 jurisdictions throughout Northern and Central California. Our design staff is very experienced in preparing plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) for new and modified traffic signal systems and pavement delineation to improve capacity and safety.

Specific signal design services we provide include:

  • Preparation of contract documents
  • Design of wireless and wireline interconnect to new and existing signals
  • Develop signal timing plans
  • Provide bid and construction support to the client during construction
  • Preparation of traffic handling plans
