Improving freeway operations for over three decades, TJKM’s engineers and planners have detailed knowledge of and experience with the many challenges and issues surrounding congested and under-performing freeways. We have:
- Prepared countless project study reports (PSRs) as part of multi-disciplinary teams.
- Worked closely with Caltrans and understand its processes and requirements.
- Calibrated models that accurately project future traffic demand on both rural and metropolitan freeway systems throughout California.
Developed operational analyses to determine lane or merging requirements, need for HOV or auxiliary lanes, restriping near junctions, and improved signing, striping and markings.
