TJKM believes that California cannot simply build its way out of congestion, but requires advanced technology to more efficiently utilize and effectively maintain the existing infrastructure. When incorporated into a transportation system's existing infrastructure, ITS strategies can effectively relieve traffic congestion and improve transportation safety. From arterial to construction zone management, there are many cost-effective and efficient ITS strategies that, once implemented, will improve traffic operations and safety when infrastructure funding does not keep up with a community’s needs.
