Frustrated by its policy for reviewing traffic control requests on neighborhood streets on a case-by-case basis, the Town of Los Gatos turned to TJKM for a comprehensive evaluation of their traffic calming policy. TJKM developed a more formal policy so all concerns can be evenly met and to provide residents with a baseline to relate the traffic data for their concerns. The policy provides a legal basis for traffic calming criteria where requests are initially evaluated and again when a traffic control is constructed in a neighborhood. The City Council voted to implement this policy 5 - 0.
