Senior Project Manager (Ref:101):
Work with a group of Traffic Engineers/Transportation Planners on multiple projects. Prepare draft reports on operations and activities, recommending improvements and modifications. Assess the feasibility and soundness of proposed planning products. Monitor and ensure compliance with local, state and federal laws. Develop and adjust traffic signal timing plans and databases for coordinated systems, fine-tuning after installation. Conduct Traffic Impact Analysis, including trip generation, trip distribution, trip assignment, Vehicle Miles Travelled (VMT) analysis, parking, site access, and identify mitigation strategies. Perform traffic data collection and analysis, prepare engineering reports and technical presentations for proposed improvements. Analyze traffic/transportation data, create models, and provide recommendations for long-term and short-term solutions for various traffic engineering concerns and for accommodating future growth. Build and optimize traffic operation models to evaluate alternatives for the proposed project and meet the purpose and need of the project. Develop pavement delineation plans for freeway and intersection projects. Prepare lane closure charts that will show the number of freeway and ramp lanes required during different hours of the day. Prepare shoulder closure charts as well. Prepare Transportation Management Plans identifying the elements to minimize construction-related congestion impacts and present strategies to mitigate the impacts where appropriate.
Tools used: Highway Capacity Software (HCS), Traffix Planning Software, Synchro/ SimTraffic Software.
Minimum Education: Master’s degree in Transportation Engineering or related field
Minimum experience: Six (6) months of experience must include six (6) months of experience in Highway Capacity Software (HCS), Traffix Planning Software, Synchro/ SimTraffic Software.
